Nina Anderson completed her doctoral studies from at Thomas Jefferson University School of Nursing. Her areas of expertise are in chronic disease management, holistic health, and sickle cell. Dr. Anderson is the founder of Tova Healthcare in association with Tova Community Health, Inc., which provides high quality holistic comprehensive care and services to people living with complex chronic medical condition(s) like Sickle Cell Anemia. Dr. Anderson founded a community-based Primary Specialty Care center for persons with Sickle Cell Anemia in Delaware. She created the James Faucett III 5K Run/Walk & the TOVA Awards aimed to increase the awareness of Sickle Cell Anemia. Nina continues to take violin master classes and is a founding member of Umoja Strings. She is also a strong advocate for the arts and music education. In her spare time, Nina enjoys the outdoors, attending concerts and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Nina has been named Delaware Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year and the NAACP Health Advocate of the Year.
